Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Sandwich
When I think of my favorite snacks, peanut butter rises right to the top of list. (Yes, me and every other 6-year-old out there.) It is usually paired with crackers, toast or bananas. Add a little chocolate & you would have the perfect snack. Hmmm….
Here’s a simple recipe that was quite literally created using my favorite ingredients…peanut butter, bananas, chocolate & whole grain bread. Think of it as a snack or dinner (okay maybe not, but it was one night this week). Think of grilled cheese but better. Think of it as delicious.
Ingredients
4 slices of whole grain (or wheat) bread, lightly buttered on one side
2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2 tbsp Nutella
1 banana, sliced
Directions
- Heat griddle to medium-low. Meanwhile, opposite the buttered side, spread peanut butter on 2 slices of bread. On the other 2 slices of bread, spread Nutella.
- Layer banana across peanut butter, top with Nutella with butter sides facing outward. Repeat for other sandwich.
- Grill each side until lightly brown. Serve warm.
No cooking skills required, so try it out & enjoy!
I stand with all of the 6 year olds and applaud this creation. Can’t wait to try it!
whoa! it’s been a little while since i’ve had the joy of checking out your blog.
this recipe sounds amazing! i’m putting these ingredients on my grocery list for next week. and i will make this a meal. 🙂
Laura I have been making plain grilled peanut butter sandwiches for a long time. A previous neighbor was from Iowa and she said they had them all the time. I started making them and Jim likes them. I make his and then I make mine the same way but with Dill pickles on it!!LOL I love them. I am going to try this for sure!
Laura I forgot to add the bacon, Jim eats the peanut butter and bacon sandwich, not exactly health food, but oh so good!
Hmm, bacon? I guess I never imagined bacon with peanut butter, but everything does taste better with bacon!
